Kathy Funston lived in Bakersfield, California, a long drive from Los Angeles/Long Beach where So. California/Nevada held its bi-annual Area Conferences. Kathy was a Group Leader before becoming involved with the Conference Department. She was a website developer for a firm in the Kern County/Bakersfield area and shared her talents with LLL. She was active in a local LLL Group and continued with the Conference Department and maintained the So. California/Nevada website for many years until she retired as a Leader. Kathy’s daughter Erin informed local Leaders that Kathy had cancer and passed away on October 5, 2021.
