My friend, Helene Scheff, is known to many in La Leche League for her many years of work on the “pizazz” at International Conferences. I was fortunate to call her friend from years before she became “known” as she and I were ACL and CLA, respectively, when tiny Rhode Island was its own Area. She was a dancer, a wife, a mother, a Leader and a friend who always had a smile and a joke ready to share. Smart as a whip, Helene graciously shared her knowledge and her wisdom with anyone who needed it. She is missed by many.
