Vered Leb, a Leader on the LLL Israel Inclusivity Committee, led the application for a Mini-Grant to help provide breastfeeding education materials for Arabic-speaking mothers in Israel. The project team was able to employ the grant money wisely to deliver information in many different formats. Specifically, the team translated many articles from Hebrew into Arabic and posted them on the LLL Israel website. They also recorded informational videos and posted these both on their website and on YouTube. And they are working to raise awareness of these resources within the Arabic-speaking community through healthcare practitioners, mothers’ groups, Facebook groups, and more, as well as through traditional La Leche League channels.
